Papa Diddi’s Spikes its Ice Cream with Rum and Brandy for Father's Day!

Updated: Jun 11, 2021

And it’s available in 1-liter tub for a really tipsy ice cream adventure!

Homegrown ice cream brand Papa Diddi’s releases 2 new flavors in time for Father’s Day.

And both flavors are spiked either with rum or brandy!

As the brand honors the man behind its name, it has come up with a twin offering: Dad’s Spiked Coffee and Thrilla in Vanilla.

Dad’s Spiked Coffee uses local Barako beans, roasted to perfection by Benguet coffee roasters where the beans were harvested. A shot of local brandy provides a nice kick in the end, making this flavor unique yet remains delightful as ice cream should be.

Thrilla in Vanilla is another booze-laced flavor where the all-time favorite vanilla is given a new twist with a dash of local rum, delivering an entirely new experience for fathers out there.

“It was easy for our team to think about these flavors because Papa Diddi himself loves coffee and vanilla ice cream, and as a lawyer, he relaxes after a court case with a shot of rum or brandy” shares Paul Perez, the son who started this well-loved local ice cream brand in Maginhawa, which now has other branches spread across the metro like in Eastwood City, Libis, SM North EDSA, SM South Mall, Pobstacion in Población and Xavievielle Avenue in Loyola Heights.

As a Father’s Day special, these 2 flavors come in a limited edition 1-liter size tub but one has to book ahead to scoop this size via www.papadiddis.net. The regular pint size will be available for rest of the month.

Though the alcohol content is minimal, Perez also shared that the sale of these 2 flavors will be limited to 18 years old and above, to ensure “we don’t introduce liquor to kids early”

Papa Diddi’s uses locally sourced carabaos milk, and is available on Food Panda, Grab Food and store pick-ups.
